macau casinoThe island of Macau has taken control of the hottest gambling spot in the world beating out Las Vegas in gambling profits. The once Portuguese country is not considered a special administrative region of China. The island has been expanded and now features a variety of high end hotels and casinos.

The Landmark Hotel and Pharaoh’s Palace casino is a great choice for both gambling and an overnight stay. The luxury hotel and casino was constructed in 2003 and is located a quick 10 minute walk from the ferry port. The hotel is 22 stories and features over 450 rooms and suites. The Pharaoh’s Palace Casino has become one of the most popular casinos in the area.

The casino has 383 slots and 19 different table games. The design of the hotel and casino differs from room to room. With some rooms sporting the styles of a French villa others are designed to look like a tropical rainforest. The casino is outfitted with an Egyptian feel full of hieroglyphics and a replica of the monument of King Tut.
