Simply speaking, hold ‘em starts with each player getting dealt two cards face down. After a round of betting, three community cards are dealt face up in the center of the table. A second round of betting ensues, before another card is dealt face up in the center of the table. Another round of betting ensures and another card is dealt before the final round of poker betting takes place. The player with the best five card poker hand between the two they have and the five community cards is the player that wins the hand and takes whatever is in the pot.

Omaha Poker

After Texas Hold ‘Em, chances are pretty good that Omaha is the most popular type of poker left. In some places of Europe it actually does challenge hold ‘em for popular supremacy, but on a large scale it is a distant second place to hold ‘em because of the sheer popularity that the game happens to have.

Omaha is very similar to hold ‘em, except you have four cards dealt face down instead of two. There are still five cards dealt face up as community cards and the rounds of betting are the same. The other major difference is that the final five card poker hand that you make in Omaha must include exactly two cards from your four and three from the five community cards, resulting in a wholly different strategic approach to the game.

Seven Card Stud Poker

The final type of poker that is really popular in the world today is Seven Card Stud Poker. This is perhaps the oldest form of poker still popular in the world today, as it has its origins in the older game of five card stud. In seven card stud, each poker player begins with two cards down and with one card thats faced up. After a round of betting, each player is then dealt another card face up. Each player continues to be dealt cards face up with betting rounds in between until each player has six cards in front of them. After another round of betting, the last card to each player is dealt face down. A final round of betting occurs; before each player reveals their hands and the best five card poker hand wins.

After a long career with MGM, Lanni is ready to take some time to himself and his family. The only light at the end of the tunnel seems to be that of the next train crash. Lanni’s successor will have a great challenge ahead of him as he faces a down-turning and the lack of visitors in Las Vegas.

With the economy slowing down, Bell envisions that this would be the best time to invest in real estate and pick up a casino along with some strip presence for Penthouse. Bell did mention that he does not have plans to knock down a whole casino and have the Penthouse name flashing above in bright sparkling lights. But instead he would like the organization to hold the rights to the casino and pool areas where he can have pin up girls as casino dealers and strippers throughout the pool area – if that were to become legal.

Several issues naturally come to mind with this acquisition. Would this hotel be an adult only venue? Would this be the start of Vegas reverting back into a true city of sin? Could a hotel like this really be located in the center of the strip? I guess we will have to wait and see.
